After working at various restaurants and country clubs in the city, A. Rene Trevino got tired of working for other people making only certain types of desserts. He wanted to provide stellar European-style breads and pastries at a price and in a way that everyone could enjoy. With a deep breath, A. Rene Trevino opened Rene’s Bakery, Inc on March 12, 2004. With a small staff (of ONE!), the bakery started with a handful of products to sell. Over time, Rene has added staff and product. Now, in its second year, Rene’s Bakery, Inc boasts eight full- and part-time employees with a rather large sampling of breads/pastries, given the size of the bakery.
